Ellingham Primary School

Strong roots for flourishing futures

Our Football Success Continues...

Our Year 4 and 5 girls did Ellingham proud again on Thursday!

Another fantastic afternoon of football was hosted by CCC yesterday afternoon, and certainly fantastic for our team of Year 4 and Year 5 girls, with some assistance from Year 3!

Once again the team stepped up to the mark, and were undefeated, conceding only two goals.

The first game against Robin Hood school finished with a 5-1 victory, but the girls were only just getting warmed up and followed up with a win over a well organised St Joseph's team.  Without a rest the girls went straight into their next match against St Matthew's; despite a very tight game Ellingham scored 3 great goals to secure yet another victory!

After a well deserved, the team were victorious again in their final match against Burlington.

Another fantastic effort by the team.  Mr Clune and Mrs Wort were extremely proud of the girls. Their hard work over the last couple of tournaments finally ended up with a medal! Their hard work, commitment and sportsmanship was absolutely thrilling  and they were a real credit to Ellingham and themselves.

Take a look at our pictures of the tournament here.
