Ellingham Primary School

Strong roots for flourishing futures

Houses of Parliament trip

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

Last Friday our retiring school council, accompanied by the Ellingham Prime Minister, deputy Prime Minister, Mrs Creegan, Mr Light and Mrs Pakes, travelled to London for a tour of the Houses of Parliament.  They were taken on the route that the Queen takes when she goes to open Parliament and had the opportunity to look around the House of Lords and the House of Commons.  They heard some amazing facts and stories and asked some challenging questions.  Their next job is to produce a powerpoint that they can show to their classes to help them explain what MPs do and how the democratic process works in this country.   A big ‘thank you’ to the School Council of 2015-16 for your work representing the views of the school over the past year.  Watch this space for details of our new School Council 2016-17!
