I have just joined Ellingham's Governing Body and was recently elected Chair. I'm a National Leader of Governance which means my  job is to help Governing Bodies to improve and carry out their duties to a very high standard. I have worked across Kingston and Richmond schools for the last 12 years, both primary and secondary, LA maintained schools, academies and free schools.

When I'm not at school I'll probably be at the theatre..

I have been a member of the Ellingham family for 4 years now. Currently I work in the Nursery as a class teacher, and thoroughly enjoy the attitude to learning that our young children bring to school everyday. I've been involved in education for almost 10 years, including several years living abroad teaching in different school systems.

Outside of school I enjoy a range of sports activities, playing music and cooking.

Type of Governor:

I joined the Ellingham Primary School Governing Body in December 2017 as a parent governor.  I work locally as a full-time independent financial adviser and have done so now for 15 years.  I also have 5 years’ experience as trustee of a youth-focussed education charity.  In the relatively short time I have been involved with Ellingham as a parent, I have already seen the hard work and dedication of the staff, and the enthusiasm and courtesy of the pupils.

I hope to provide constructive challenge and support to the school through my role as a governor.

I was appointed as the local authority governor for Ellingham Primary School in November 2018.

As a passionate believer in community education I first became involved in school governance when my children attended our local primary school. I have now been a governor in Richmond for over ten years including 4 years as Chair of Governors at Stanley Primary School in Teddington. I am currently Chair of Trustees for RWST (Richmond West Schools Trust) a locally formed multi academy trust that was set up to provide support to two under-performing secondary schools in the borough of Richmond.
