Ellingham is a highly inclusive school which strives to meet the needs of all individuals and groups of pupils.
We do this by ensuring that the teaching and learning throughout the school is of a very high standard and that work is differentiated, according to the range of abilities in the class, so that it presents both challenge and a sense of achievement.
All children have personal targets and some benefit from a personalised learning programme which may involve small group and one to one activities.
We work with a wide range of professionals such as occupational therapists, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists and members of the health team. We also work in close partnership with parents and carers.
In 2014-15 the government introduced a new Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice which informs and supports our practice.
A copy of our SEND Information Report can be found in the Special Educational Needs and Disability section, to the right of the screen.
